To overcome the lack of air flow to the radiator  caused by the larger
number plate you should fit one of the new Ventiflow plates. These have 
the shape of the numbers and letters made up of drilled out holes. I think
Rimmers have got them in stock now  - might be worth giving them a ring.
You can of course make your own with a rectangular sheet of metal and a
machine gun.
