Hoses, batteries, and Allans '72
Tom,
You can slip a piece over the T/C lever shaft to eliminate some of that
rattling noise when you're on the highway too!
Good tip, you should send it in.

Also, a tip. I had some 5/8" heater hose left over.. and slid it down
the shifter lever for the T19 (or D20).. takes up "no space" and if you
ever need it on the trail (like my friend's Bronco did 2 weeks ago) it's
handy.

Mark,
Most of the portable stuff we design has to go on Aegis cruisers, The
Navy isn't really fond of metal enclosures on deck for electronics. At least
these are perfectly sealed and don't have a problem with sea-spray. Actually we
should see if they make one big enough for a Group24 battery, then we could have
removable sealed battery boxes for the trucks! That'd really be killer!

Joel,
Thanks for the pelican box tip. To now, I have used Hammond
metal enclosures for portable test circuitry ...but I am always
looking for something better, more expensive! Mark

Allan,
Does this truck have a gold box? If it did, I would point there. Temps
really screw with things, but a solid system shouldn'tbe affected too much, like
you describe.
Let us know, I'm really curious now.

All I can figure is the temp change did it. And, the cab temp didn't
really change, so I am going to assume it is under the hood.
This one is going to take a while to find, intermittant
problems are the worst!
