[bmw] CPO windshield gasket replacement??

John, I squawked to the dealer about the gasket on my car, which is originally
from California but had only 24K mi when I got it.  The car was still under
warranty then, but the regional rep said he would cover only cover the part.
So if my windshield ever cracks, I should be able to get a gasket from BMW.  I
was concerned about it leaking, but supposedly the crumbling part is on the
outside and shoudnt affect sealing out rain.  What is the CPO program?

Seems that a windshield gasket should not melt in your hand like
chocolate.
