Is the vibration at car speed or driveline speed? Try running the car with
the rear end on jackstands (observe safety precautions,blah blah)
to isolate it from front to rear.

What is a "Tail shaft"? A 'roo part?

Two things I would look at would be 1) the drive shaft "Timing" ie are the
u-joint in the same plane ? with the
STAG driveshaft (propshaft) the rubber can deteriorate (perish) allowing the
u-joints to go out of time
2) suspect the U-joints themselves ,particularly the ones on the 1/2 shafts.
and you might as well check the RW bearing while
you are at it. The UJ should move thru it's full range of movement without
feeling "notchy".
