Re: Time clocks
I got a 2" quartz coin cell operated mechanism for $6 US. I removed the case,
installed a solid state 3V regulator circuit, glued the Smith's clock face on it
and used a Dremel tool to cut the hands down to correct size, then painted them
white. I then made a wood block to fit it in the case.
It looks identical (same case and face), and works fine, but I haven't actually
installed it in the car, which is undergoing welding and bodywork in preparation
for painting.
