Rear Axle mounting pins

Hello there

Well, the relatively simple matter of replacing the rear suspension bushes
has developed into a more complex operation - one of the rear axle mounting
pins sheared off just above the nut - and I was being gentle and I also
used plenty of easing oil.   Actually I suppose I'm quite relieved to have
found it - I wouldn't have wanted it to give way when I was driving and
then have the diff. moving about.

Anyone got any good tips on how to replace the broken pin?   It is listed
as a part but not available from the usual suppliers.  So, I am currently
awaiting a replacement from a scrap Belgian Stag which I hope will be OK,
otherwise I'll probably need to have a new one made.  Unfortunately there
is no access to it from above so I'll be cutting and welding from below
which I think will be distinctly awkward!
