Re: Gigantic Oil Leak
Hi all
I have now solved the oil leak by fitting a new oil pump and oil pressure
switch and new 'o' rings to the pump and transfer housing. Thought that I
might as well do the whole lot whilst I was under the car !
What I would like to know is, with the old oil pump removed how can you tell
if it is shot ? As it seems to rotate okay and there is no stiffness in
doing so.
So therefore have I gone the extreme way and fitted a new pump when only
'o' rings where required, if this is so at least I have now got a spare oil
pump ! :-)
Any advice would be appreciated.
