Stag with Ford V6 ???

Hi all,

I have been subscribing to this list, because I am looking to buy a Stag.

I have seen one that has been coverted to a Ford V6.  Now I know all
you purists, will really frown on this, but pricewise it may enable me
to own a Stag, that I could not afford if it was original.

Anyway, I was wondering if any of you own a Stag with such a conversion,
or have any experience of one.
