Wow Glenn that is a good letter.
Not many people would know about there being two lengths of dipstick with a
change point early in Mark one.
To Richard Brake. Does this early dipstick having no tube show in your "A"
catalogue. There is only the one in the later catalogues. My engine is 669 and
has a tube. My guess is its to make it easier to fit in the dipstick. I am
sure without the hole I would never find the s*dd*ng hole, its hard enough as
it is with the top of the tube painted white so's I can see it. (With typing
correction fluid!)
