stag purchase

I have always admired the stag and finally have what seem to be a great
opportunity to buy a 1972 rather cheaply for $1,500.  The car is completely
original, no frame rust, solid floors, excellent black seats, hard top, wire
wheels and overdrive.  The hood latch was not working (rusted) and I didn't
want to force it, only quessing how it might work, so I couldn't inspect the
engine.  

Based on this discription, can I go wrong for the price?

Any advise would be appreciated.
