The fuel pump issue is as follows. Car idling for five ish minutes while
checking the tyres. Pulled away, 100 years later engine cuts out dead.
Cranking does no good. 

I can hear the fuel pump clicking like mad.. So I remove the trim and smack it
with a wrench. You know when in doubt!. It stops clicking and car starts on
next turn of the key.. 

It hasn't happened again but with the misfire etc I wondered if this incident
was telling me something..
