slight vibration
Hi Richard
Your judder on pull-away could easily be the engine/gearbox mounts, also a
cracked torque converter drive plate would do this, but you should suspect
this last! Also suspect the tyres, and swap them for the fronts to see if
this makes any difference.
The braking difficulty may very well be the drums. After some years any
drums get hard and glazed, then all kinds of unpleasant things happen
including lack of stopping power as well as shudder. You can check out
this hardening by trying a file or coarse emery cloth on the braking
surface. Skimming may give temporary relief, but is no real answer.
