RE: Wheel Specs
I know it's not a Stag but my 2.5 PI estate (same running gear) has
poly-urethane suspension all round and runs;
15" x 6" Mini-lite replicas these have 195/65 15" tyres. I don't have a
handling problem the only things I keep upsetting are drivers of all
these modern sports/saloons (BMW 5 series estates etc...)
Rimmers have the 5 " wheels in stock but were waiting for the 6" to
be shipped (I was after a 5th wheel for the spare).
These wheels have SCP and KN stamped on them and are a close match to my
original 14" mini-lite's. They don't sell the 15" for Triumphs but MOSS
stock 15" for TR & M.G. same stud pattern I believe.

Mike,
Thanks for the info - I am going to stay with a 6" rim,
but was thinking of
going up to a 15" wheel with a lower profile tyre. I have spoken
to tony
hart, who advised against this saying it would completely muck
up the
handling, and that I should stay with a 14" rim and 195/70
tyres. Now I
don't know what to do - my suspension is all poly bushed and I
have spax
shocks, so why would a lower profile tyre make a lot of
difference? Any
advice before I buy wheels would be appreciated
Thanks,
Tim

Subject: Wheel Specs
Hi Tim
The Stag alloys are 5.50 rims, 14" diameter and 1.12 offset.
If you go for a wider wheel, please bear in mind you will need
to maintain
the inner rim clearance or the wheel will badly foul the
suspension, also a
much wider wheel easily clobbers the front wheel arches.
Hope this helps
