Restoring my Stag

To those who offered advice on body shops, my Stag, 200GYB, has
now gone in for the full works to a restorer at Westgate-on Sea. One of
the Partners used to run the paint shop at the MG Owners Club
headquarters at Swavesey in Cambridgeshire. I came upon them by
chance when someone ran into my Daihatsu and I took it to them for
repair. They did such a first class job that I showed them the Stag.
They are doing a body off rebuild with photographic records and
rebuilding the engine after the cam chain problem for--- wait for it---
2,000 all in and no VAT. That's parts, labour and paint. I've been
invited to visit as often as I like to review progress and they will
guarantee the bodywork against rust reappearing for three years.
All defective metal will be cut out and replaced as necessary and
they are making their own replacement panels on a rolling machine.
For this they use a retired coachbuilder they call the Professor. I'm
looking forward to seeing the results. They say it will be ready in one
month. they've just completed another Stag and, apparantly enjoy
working on them.
Any views on the best supplier of new carpets please, anyone?
Prices seem to vary quite a bit,
