Sean Connery, alias 007, drove a yellow stag in diamonds are forever,
crossing over to Holland, posing as a diamond smuggler.

I seem to remember that the sound of the throaty Stag was dupped with
the sound of a humble Herald due to Aston Martin, who gave Bond his DB6,
were not at all happy with the prospect of the Stag sounding better than
their own car.

As regards whether or not it was a pre production Stag, soryy, I can't
recall.  Surely someone out there has a copy of the film on video ?
