I can understand you blaming the lumenition but they generally work well.
Sounds more like the vacuum advance is faulty. I expect you set the timing
with this disconnected as per the manual but maybe the tiny pin that links the
vacuum unit to the base plate is sheared. I think it is possible to make a new
one if this is the case, but it is not possible to buy one so far as I am
aware.
