The black cord is a standard piece of trim which can be fitted in the slot
normally occupied by the chrome trim on a Stag.  I presume it has been sent
to you as Rimmer has accepted a standard part without checking it to be
exactly right for the Stag.  Or alternatively, as there are more Stags than
chrome trims, perhaps they have decided to supply this part anyway.  You
guess.

The only way to pop it all back is to assemble rubber suround to screen,
place the chrome strip back in place, and then to fit the whole lot to the
car. Easily said, hard to do!  It is a swine, a job best left to a Suomo
Wrestler you never expect to see again.
