Hoses

Hi all,

I have a question about hoses. In the 70's I had to buy hoses that were
un-reinforced hoses for a Jaguar. An old mechanic wrapped about three
raps of friction tape around the hoses to give it strength. Those hoses
lasted 10 years. (I still have the car but the hoses are long gone). The
pressure in a Jaguar is less than in a Stag. Also the old Jaguar
"reinforced hoses, if I remember correctly were wrapped on the outside
with some sort of wrapping. Any one else hear of this? I ask because I
ordered hoses that were suppose to be reinforced hoses. Rimmer sent me
un-reinforced hoses. Has any one used un-reinforced hoses?
