[ihc] 5V regulators for dash

From a quick check, the LM 7805 is a 1A 5v out reg, and the LM 323 is a 3A?
How much does the inctrument draw?

Put a small load on it and see if it begins to regulate. If you are reading
9 volts when there is a load on it, it's probably defective. 100 ohms
should
be enough.
