Re: [ihc] Where should spotlights go?
If I remember correctly, Unity has a template which comes with each new
spotlight. They call it a 'pattern' and it comes with the installation
kit, which is a separate part number from the light. The instructions
for proper mounting are included. You could just order an installation
kit from them, and use that to properly install your spotlight. Visit
their application page here: http://www.unityusa.com/apps.asp. Be sure
to look under 'International", not "International/Case". They have
listings for every IH truck I can think of, including Scouts and pickups,
and even Metro vans. These are the same spotlights as Unity has always
made, although the newer post brackets do not seem to be quite as strong
as the old ones, judging by the used units I see at the swap meets.

Subject: [ihc] Where should spotlights go?
Hello all....I have been trying to determine where factory spotlights
would have been mounted on a a 1000 series pickup. I assumed they were
mounted in the lower left corner of the windshield post but I recently
saw pics of a fire truck that had them mounted at the top corner. Where
would they have normally been installed?
