This is water off a duck's (or is it ducks'?) back here, John!  I don't know
a predicate adjective from an anteceded pronoun - or even if any of those
things are possible! %^}  Grammar was, without a doubt, my *very worst*
subject in, errr, ahhh, "grammar" school. Likewise, I failed Latin (and the
French horn and cello) for 4 years. Anyone that's read my drivel here for
the past several years knows that grammar ain't my forte. Don't confuse a
reasonable vocabularly with 'good grammar'.  Up until rather recently, my
Mom (still alive and well at 84 or so, by the way), used to take the letters
I wrote (via pen or computer, no matter!), and 'red line' photocopies of the
letters with her #2 red pencil and send them back to me! And some people
think I'm anal retentive.  I probably should hasten to add that Mom taught
2nd grade for 15+ years and community college (History of Art) for another
15 years. My hat's off to you, as always, John.  You know the difference
between the singular verb and singular subject. I WISH good grammar could
"take" with me.  It never did - either at home or in class.
