My opinion has always been that it's good to know how to drive a manual just
because... my other reasoning is what if a situation comes up some day where
you need to drive one, then you can't...  many people don't agree with me
though.

Honestly, I really don't like it.  But, in it's defense I pretty much don't
like anything that's out there right now that you can get new.  Looks more
like a car to me than an SUV (and I think that's what Jeep was going for
when they built it).

Has she looked at the Cross Lander?   It is the *only* vehicle within the
next few years (other than that pickup International does) that I have any
interest in.  www.crosslander4x4.com

Initially it will come with a gas engine, but by the end of next year an
International Turbo Diesel will be availible.

Some guys on the Binder Bulletin looked at it when it did its American intro
tour in the midwest and were really excited about it, it's basically the
same size as a Scout II, and weighs the same amount too... the est. retail
price is really nice sounding too...

Back to the jeep... take my opinions on it with a grain of salt because I'm
pretty much against all of the SUVs out right now.  In fact, I'm unhappy
with *all* the vehicles currently availible right now... I do like the
liberty more than that honda element though... I also have not really heard
anything specifically wrong with the liberties either, so my opinion isn't
based on experience or anything, it's just my opinion...
