Re: Holley 2300 jets

Jeff:

Please let me know your findings on these tests. I just put in a rebuilt
2300 I picked up to replace the Motocrap thing that some PO had decided
he liked. I haven't been able to get to the let mixture screw forever. I
have the same slight dead spot. I am thinking the only way to fix it
would be to modify the accelerator pump actuation (can you get a larger
pump for a 2300?)

I figured I'd split the difference and go with the 56s. I still have a slight "dead spot" in the throttle just as I begin to open it up. If I just punch it, I have no problem, only when I ease into it real slow. My theory is that I need to richen it up a bit with the mixture screws, since the accelerator pump isn't really being activated with a light foot. And since it works fine when I nail it, because its plenty rich when the 30cc dumps into it. I don't think I went too lean with the jets because it still pulls good out of the hole.
