Re: ihc-digest V6 #530

Chris,
I agree with Tom that Camping World has about everything you can think
of, but personally I think that their prices are no particular bargain
even with the President's Club 10 percent discount. IMHO, because they
often have stuff on sale and then you can get the discount on top of
that, you can sometimes come out pretty well, but in general they tend
to be as high as anyone. They have a huge overhead that has to add to
the cost of items. They also tend to have a lot of pretty worthless
employees, which consume rather than produce.
Compared to the RV vendors in Quartzite, AZ, Camping World isn't in
the same ballpark. Every year, we go shopping in Quartzite and I can
buy expendable stuff like sewer hose, deodorizers, pipe fittings,
stove parts, propane tanks for somewhere from a third to a half less
than Camping World. I don't want to mislead you, I buy a lot of stuff
from Camping World, even John L. buys a lot of stuff from Camping
World, and I certainly don't mean to disparage Tom's opinion, but I
see it differently.

Chris:

You need the catalogue from "Camping World". They have just about
everything and you can't beat their prices. I'm lucky in that I live
within
40 miles of one of their retail outlets. Caveat: They are like the
"J.C.
Whitney of RVs" which means they do sell a lot of worthless stuff
along
with regular, name brand stuff. So, beware.

I'll get you address, etc. this evening when I get home if you need
it.
