Rotors, Hubs, brake vibration

Hope you're having a good holiday season!

I was just catching up on the digest and was reading your posts about the
brakes and rotors. I have a pulsing in my brakes when I apply the brakes
and at slow speed (say just easing up to the stoplight) it turns into an
feeling of resistance, then easy roll, resistance, easy roll. I guess a
good analagy would be a out of balance or out of round wheel.

I had thought it was probably my rotors but now am wondering if I might
have a warped hub like you described. I won't have time to look at them
for another day or two and I guess I'll just have to mic them and go from
appearence.

 I know some people have mentioned using Ford shoes?? is this true? 
any idea of part #'s ? I also need to either replace or rebuild the
steering gear as it is leaking, any idea's or knowledge on part #s or
suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I plan to do a lot of fix up
stuff before school starts again.
