Re[2]: Spare motor?

The cherry picker gets mounted to the roof rack. I saw a guy
with an engine hoist mounted to pivots on his front bumper. The
winch cable went up to the pulley at the end of the hoist and
then down to the work. Had a reach of about 8 feet. When he got
the motor out, he just backs up his truck and voila, done. This
was on a '74 Scout II with a 196. He had plenty of room for
gadgets in there, like a full heat exchanger for engine coolant
to heat freshwater from a garden hose. He said he could take
showers as long as the truck was running.

I think you and he ought to get together. Come to think of
it, I've never seen you and him at the same time! Like Superman,
and Clark Kent, I think you are really the same person!

I was just thinking that, with just a 196 for a spare, you'd have room in
the back for the cherry picker you'd need to field swap a motor..
