Mitch,
Try replacing the oil filler cap with one that has a breather element in
it. I had the same trouble with a couple of 392's I have. I replaced the
pcv and cleaned the baffle and flame arrestor in the valve cover to no
avail. Both of these motors have the dipstick at the front of the motor.
I put an extension and breather cap on the oil filler and have no more
problems.
