Speedo not working on my '74 200

Hello Binder buds:

In both My IH vehicles the speedo's do not work.   I am most concerned about
my 200 4X4.   The speedo cable on that goes to the T-case.   Would the
speedo cable be broke, or is it something else?   How do you test it?
