The problem isn't a vacumn line, IH doesn't use them on their
trannies.
Sounds like your bands and clutches are going. Time for a rebuild.
Shop around for the cheapest price and compare reputations as well
before going to any shops. Don't let them tell you that it will cost
more because it is an IH. The tranny is the same as a couple million
Cryslers driven on the road today. It is a 727 Torqueflite. In fact, it
may be easier to call them and tell them it is a 727 and ask what it
would cost. Tell them that it is 4 wheel drive so they know that in
advance. Expect prices in the $400-700 range.
