Fan Shroud and Gauges...
Steve,
The fan shroud for 74 and 75 PU and TA is about 12" deep and fiberglass.
Yes, I want one, if you have it. How much and what's the shipping?
Thanks, and let me know, I want to get this rig on the road quick, instead of
sitting in the yard!

The shrouds are made of a fiberglass type material...it might have been broken
or something. Hey we got fan shrouds in our yards...you want one?

John H,
The instruments in the 69-75 TA/PU are the same as the 71-80 Scout IIs.
Exactly the same, except for the 76 and later KM scale on the speedo. Otherwise
they are the same. I'll lay a bead of silicone around the glass/plastic, I
don't think the tabs will hold up to being bent open again. The bulb sockets
are the same, and I'll look for AMCs in the yards. As I recall, the sockets are
the same as 69-72 Chevys as well.
Thanks,
-Joel Brodsky

Joel,
I put the sealant between the "glass" and the gauge itself on the Scout.
That has no effect on the cooling of the gauge. The only dust that you
can see when the gauge is installed in on the inside of the glass,
anyway, so sealing it there keeps what you can see clean. As I said
earlier, I don't remember if the old Travelall gauges are built so you
can do this or not.
Are the bulb sockets like on the Scout, ears on a little socket that hold
the bulb and contact the printed circuit on the instrument panel? If so,
I picked up a mess of them one time at a junk yard that had the dash
hanging out of an old AMC. If this is what you have, they are very common
and easily obtainable.
John
