I'm back - MSD - My second scout - IHC nationals -
Hello fellow digesters.
Well, after about a week of catching up on old digests, I am finally caught
up. Boy it sure sucks not having internet access at work. Oh, well. Thats
one of the downsides of working for a smaller company.
Anyway, I went and looked at a Scout last weekend and I've decided to buy
it. It will be a good parts source for me. It's a 79 like mine but it has a
3-speed and is missing some of the extras like A/C and some other stuff
which I can't remember too well. The body is pretty wasted except maybe for
the top. It has a big dent in it but rust-wise it seems to be in the same
shape as mine is now. he guy wants $500 for it which is a little high
except for the fact that it has a plow on it which I plan to sell for
$150-200. That makes it pretty reasonable. Oh, goody. Now I get to change
my sig file. :)
I was pretty jealous reading about all the recent IH events and I wish I
could have gone. I am planning on making it to the Nationals though and I
am wondering who is planning on going. Especially if anyone in my area
(Menominee Michigan) is going. Maybe we could convoy down.
All this talk about unreliability of electronic ignitions has made me
wonder if it's a good idea to go with the MSD setup that I was planning.
Maybe just plain old points is a better way to go. I welcome any comments.

Life moves pretty fast. If you don't Daggett, Michigan
stop and look around once in a while,
you could miss it.
