<E28> K&N Oil and Fouling the Air Meter

Hi All,

While I was speaking to my mechanic friend, he told me that I should be very
careful when I clean and re-oil my K&N filter.  He told me that I should
wait at least 1 day before installing it after I oil it, since the red oil
can foul the air meter unit before the bellows on my 85 535i with the M30
Engine.  He said it can cause a lot of problems

Anyone ever experience this or have any more background on it?
