RainX help please
I have been using RainX for a few months now, and when it is freshly applied
it is the canine's testicles.
However, as it loses its' effectiveness (depressingly quickly) I find it is
gets to a stage where it is worse than nothing.
My question is; can anyone explain what it actually is and how it works.
Why is there the instruction to apply 2 coats?
How important is it to clean the screen before applying it? Or, is there a
cumulative build up effect, and does it work better if you only wash the
screen before each re-application?
How effective is the RainX screenwash additive which is supposed to prolong
the effectiveness?
Also I find that the BMW intensive wash (the one out of the separate wash
bottle) makes it really cloudy for a couple of minutes. As this is designed
to be used undiluted, and it is going all over the paintwork, I only use the
BMW product for this.
At the moment I know spend MUCH more time cleaning the glass than I ever
have before.
It works so well when first applied that I can't wait for it to rain.
(that's not too long in the UK right now)
