Your ABS malfunction is probably not sensor-related. The ABS works by
counting teeth on the hub, the ABS sensors send a signal each time a tooth
passes. The sensors send a "bad" signal which shuts down the ABS system
entirely (when the yellow light is on). This bad signal can be caused by
dirty or bad hub-teeth. They can get dirt stuck in them or, worse yet, can
corrode. The corrosion wears the teeth down so they don't signal properly.
If there is a correlation between your 115mph run (your car will do at
least 134mph, trust me) and your ABS malfunction, it may be dirt in the
teeth. Rear hubs can be seen from underneath the car without taking the
wheels off, spray them down with some brake cleaner. Front hub access
requires removal of the wheel.
