Based on recent experience, and great help from other digesters, it
sounds like the idle switch may need adjusting. The injectors are
cutting off too far above idle, resulting in an abrupt rpm drop. The
black rubber covered thing on the front of the throttle has switches
that sense throttle position and the idle position. The idle position
switch should click as close to the closed throttle position as
possible. It is easy to adjust. Loosen two screws, and move it around
while working the throttle, and listen for the click.
