E36 M3- 6spd tranny & Quaife?

    My friend has a '94 Euro spec M3 and is considering going to the 6-speed
tranny that Bekkers (and others?) offer , in conjunction with a 3.45 or 3.64
rear end with a Quaife or 50% locking diff.
 Does anyone have any experience with these parts or this combo?   I know
that just changing the rear end ratio will give great performance but he
wants the increased acceleration without sacrificing the top speed.
