No not an Ozie beer haze hallucination gents. It was actually a metal
harpoon (for lack of a better description) that the police car would fire
at the back of the bad guy's car in addition to a barb to keep the thing
conntected, there was also a large electrical jolt that could be fed to it
to disable the car's electronics.
Cool huh.
