Manually tune to the station you want. Press and hold the memory button
until the radio beeps. It is now stored.

faceplate has arrows up and down and the letters SE next to the joy

SE for Seek.  Press it in the up direction, it will scan through
frequencies in increasing order until it finds one in use. Pressing down
sends it through the frequencies in decreasing order.
