Subject: Anti-theft Radio trouble

I've just purchased a 325i from a "Classic" dealer who acquired the car
in a
bankruptcy/foreclosure.

My trouble is that the radio is, of course, locked with no documentation
as to
what the code might be to free it up. Can you advise where I may call
(the
manufacturer, BMW etc.) to get the code.

John,
bear with me here , my body is sunburnt, I'm swamped in used Bermudan
Porsches and BMWs and my refrigerator is out of Rolling Rocks, and I
haven't keyed a stroke on this keyboard in a couple of weeks, but if my
memory still works, and obviously the memory of your radio is blank, we
can figure out how you can get some tunes in your "Classic 325i"!

You'll need to remove the radio from the dash and get the serial number
off the back and contact an authentic BMW dealer to get the code to the
radio. Some dealers may request that you send them a copy of your
registration with the radio serial number . The dealer can then get you
the code , which you then enter using the buttons on the radio, and
bingo you have music!

your radio will have two small flaps on the left and right end , behind
which are small allen type screws which need to be undone. Note , these
are unique , they are 5 sided sockets, so it's a bit tricky with a std.
allen key of 6 sides, but you'll figure it out!
undo these to release the radio from the dash.

Got to get back to sortin out all my Bermudan Cars, even have a few with
the high output ERAM units. Amazing how the technology gets around the
world so fast! Works best on the Porsches !
