Recondition ZF slush box?

How much work is involved in replacing the A clutch pack in
a ZF 4HP22 EH? Tranny has 150K miles and was fine until it
started slipping over a two week pre-death period.

I've read the manual but it's not easy to convert that to a
time in billable hours!

I'd be asking a BMW specialist to do the work so he should
have the proper tools. Should I just get the A clutch done 
or is this asking for future trouble? The part's didn't seem
too expensive when I looked at the CD, I may be wrong.

I'm not having much luck getting used parts so may just get
me dead tranny fixed. Ever feel you don't know what to do
for the best?  >:-/
