I'm a retired Chevroid, so can not provide an unbiased answer to your
question. However, you might enjoy reading SAE Paper 982712, "A Survey o=
f
Gasoline Fuel Deposit Control Additives in the Retail Aftermarket:
Performance Claims vs. Chemistry" by Ronald L. Fausnight of Blue
Coral-Slick 50. Ronald catagorized the performance claims found on a lar=
ge
number of different fuel additive products available in parts stores, etc=
=2E
and compared those claims to the chemical composition of the products. H=
e
found little correlation between claims and chemistry. And he found that=

many products contained very little active ingredient. In fact, so littl=
e
active ingredient that most people would conclude that the product would =
be
ineffective.

See the SAE's web site to order your copy. (Caution: The I've never seen=

names named in an SAE paper on lubes or fuels.)
