hello everyone,
i have a couple of questions regarding the above mentioned. i will be
changing the oil in my '89iX for the first time (since i've owned it you
jokesters) and i see that the recommended oil is 20W50. do you all run that
weight year round? i figured that i would run 10W40 or maybe 10W30 in the
winter cuz it can get pretty cold here occasionally and i travel up north
alot where it IS cold. i would consider running a 5W30 possibly depending
on what others have tried. i want to run synthetic but i cannot seem to
find mobile 1 in 10W40, only 5W30, 10W30 or 5W50. does it exist?!?! also,
what types of synthetics do you run in the drivetrain? i have seen alot on
redline mtl and something else.
about spark plugs, i usually run ngk in all my cars but for this car they
seem to never be in stock. well i want to change them soon and other than
bosch platinums (heard negative things about these) the only thing they had
was the infamous split fires. i thought i would try them as they have a 30
day money back guarantee. does anyone have opinions on these? i realize
that they do not do all they claim to do as the spark can only be as
powerful as the electrical system supplying voltage for it, just wondering
what people thought of them.
thanks for all your help.
regards,
