 Subject: Strange Washing Problem

After I washed & waxed my 1995 318ti I parked it. Later that day I went
to start it and it would not start. Tried to start it a few times, then
I let it sit for a few minutes; tried again and it did start, albeit with
rough idle which soon smmothed out. I remember reading something about
this in the Roundel, but I don't recall if there was a factory fix or
not. Anyone else run into this? I'll bring it up next time I'm at the
dealer but I probably won't be able to replicate the problem.

 TIA,

It was just addressed recently. the two water drains for the cowl area can
get clogged with, say, debris from trees, which causes the water to back up
until it floods the brain -- not a fun thing. The drains are a trick to see.
They have rubber boots a little smaller than the size of a pack of cigarettes.
There's a factory notice on this but they may be reluctant to tell you. I've
hears to check with a shop with AllData or perhaps Mitchell-on-demand.

Or call Richard or Vidtor at Michelangelo MotorWerkes: 1-800-GR8-FLOW

Good luck.

Victor
