Hey, you're right. I just checked under the hood of my 325e and sure
enough, two squirrels. Unfortunately one of them had died, but that
explained why my car had been running so poorly. I caught a new
squirrel, plopped him in there and my car is back to normal.
Actually it's funny that you bring this up, because I have been thinking
about making a sticker, that says "powered by" with a picture of a
squirrel in a cage for my beat up tercel wagon because all those
"powered by <insert car manufacturer here>" kind of bug me and I wanted
to make a joke one.
BTW, everybody has been recommending the maxima as an alternative to the
bimmer. I think an '85 Toyota Tercel Stationwagon 4WD is the perfect
solution. I'm never tempted to street race, because I will always lose.
I get to spend extra time enjoying scenery on mountain passes, because
it's too slow to pass the semi's up the hill. I usually have my own
lane, because the car is so ugly everbody assumes I have no insurance
and they stay clear. If I ever hit a tree, guard rail, curb, pothole,
whatever, I don't care. It's just adds a little more personality.
