I mentioned before that I consider Michelin to be by far the worst
price/performance ratio in the business of tire making. But if you wish to
finance the future college education for the cute little kids in their
commercials...
Our '91 Q45 came with a set of Pilot XGT V4 for which the previous owner
shelled out $165 a pop. They hydroplane like crazy, are not particularly
great on dry, and not particularly quiet. A confused mix between a
performance and touring tire, but wet driving makes them unsuitable in a
RWD 278HP behemoth that Q is (and isn't your 750iL similar?)
I said it before, and will say it again, for a good touring tire for
behemoth cars BFG Comp T/A is damn near unbeatable. Comfortable, soft,
great in wet, lasts longer than Pilots. Also, I would try Yokohama Avid H4.
BTW, I also had Pilot XGT V4 on '97 Integra GS-R I owned. They were a bit
more suitable for light FWD car, but still, there are much better choices
for 1/2 the price or less.
