Tom,
You just need to set the OBC (On Board Computer)up.  Your owner's manual 
explains how to do this.  If you don't have an owner's manual - get one!  
You can order them from your dealer.  There's a small detent on the 
lower right hand corner of the OBC.  Push it in with a pen and you can 
set your clock, date, etc., by pushing on the 100, 10, 1 buttons.  
You'll get the idea once you fiddle with it a bit.  If I remember 
correctly, you need to push the MPG first to select Liters or Gallons 
(Imperial, metric).  Good luck.
