I have a bad front end. I'm querring the collective wisdom on changing
or taking off the thrust arm on an E28 (535i '85). I know the bushings
are bad, but only have the hayes manual to help me and I don't feel
very confident at this moment of sadness, when I know why the car swims
like it's a three wheeler on hard braking.
1- Will I need any special tools to get the thrust arm off.??
2- Do I have to keep the car up on jacks the whole time??
3- From the looks of it I'll have to take out some stabelizer bar
support to get to one end of the rod?? ^
I wish I payed as much as the labor hourly rate !! Will this take a long
time or the whole weekend. ??
I have adequate socket set and the like...

And on that BMW discount, after close examination of the fine print in Roundel
for other shops, I'm paying about their price, so CCA people get a nice
discount off a nice list price, figures..
That bad bushing will take away my need night rest and induce nightmares
into my calm resty sleep and then the pain starts to reach the wallet and
before you know it, it is time to sell the car and the cycle starts over?
Sorry for the drama folks - thnx in advance
