[bmw] Longer wheel bolts

I installed  1/4" wheel spacers on my car (E30), and put longer bolts. I
still have the original locking bolts(1 per wheel) though.  Is this safe
for everyday use?  When I go to the track for DE, I can remove the locking
bolt and replace it with a longer regular bolt.

I checked with BMW and they don't sell longer locking bolts or regular
bolts at all.

I did some measurements, and the threads in the hub are 1/2" deep. With the
spacer, the locking bolt engages only 1/4".

Any suggestions?
