A company called Da Lan has been making BMW hitches 
for years.
Call 1 (800) hitches.
I had one installed on an E36 //M3.  Used it to tow an 
overstuffed UHaul trailer cross country.  But the 
broken rear subframe bushing/mount was another story.  
     These cars definitely can tow a load, but it can 
take a toll on rear suspension components.
For safety sake, professional installation at one of 
their authorized dealers makes a lot of sense since 
that makes it their liability if something fails.
